Make day to day desisions as needed for any type of emergency that might happen. Help with any medicals that might arise, help provide safety and security to children's programs and other special events that happens at the church like concerts, Harvest Carnival, Monitor the parking lots and create a positive experience for members and visitors.

I was voted in as the VP of the CAA board, a non-profit activities league for the employees of USS UPI by my peers, this is a volunteer position that I hold in addition to my regular job duties as a wage safety representative. The CAA, Columbia Athletic Association is a nonprofit that employees and retired employees of the steel mill can join to get discount tickets to various sporting events, amusement parks, dances, golf tournaments, fishing derby's, fishing trips etc.

I represent the wage employees in safety. Part of my job is training new hires to the steel mill, accident investigation, one of three members of the mill fire department, a hazardous materials technician with incident command certification, confined rescue certified, help teach water rescue to our dock employees and I am a first responder with advanced first aid training. I am certified in CPR and first aid. I am a part of the ERT, emergency response team. I help develop training on new safety equipment, develop power points and tests to go along with the training, lead safety crew meetings and am a resource for the wage (union) employees to research safety items, questions and OSHA standards. I am also one of the teachers for all new hires teaching forklift, gas monitoring and confined space. I have current OSHA 30 and 5119 certifications.

Worked as a calls mechanic to keep the operating lines running for two years in the Tin Mill. Was a group leader for two years in the Tin Mill. Worked with a crew of two other MTM's and three MTE's answering calls for the operating lines around the clock. I then moved to moving to Central Calls where we answered calls to both the Sheet and Tin mills and then the Utilities Department before moving to safety.

Was a certified pope fitter, equipment operator, boom truck operator, lead groups of other laborers in jobs, drew out as builts, worked with the clients on the jobs that they wanted completed, was a intermediary for the superintendent and the client bosses, did concrete work, carpentry, asphalt and pretty much any other task that needed to be completed for the specific job.
