Observed and practiced all aspects of local church ministry guided by the senior pastor and learning from pastors, ministry leaders, elders, deacons, and the whole congregation.Taught at various levels, from the communicants' class through Adult Sunday School.

Wrote theological sidebars in the Old Testament for the Systematic Theology Study Bible, published Fall 2017

Directed the student ministry of a mid-size suburban church in St. Louis. Coordinated the work of other leaders, taught regularly in large group and small group settings, and organized events. Occasional interaction and duties with other ministries in the church like Adult Sunday School, the college and young adults group, leading the liturgy in the worship service, and very occasional preaching in the worship service.

Discipled young men (grades 6-12) through large group and small group interaction as well as in one-on-one meetings.Occasionally taught the Jr. and Sr. High large group and the 20s and 30s group.

Directed Tenth Presbyterian Church's metropolitan outreach ministry to undergraduate students through teaching, pastoral care, discipleship, and social and service events. Taught the Sunday morning metro large group and led three campus groups at the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, and Eastern University. Developed small group and large group curricula from scripture, books, cultural topics. Coordinated the work of three interns performing a variety of tasks, including leading campus groups at the University of the Arts and Drexel University and directing the Arts Collective.Led and discipled student leaders as they engaged with fellow students and used their gifts on campus and in the church. Supported the work of Tenth as a pastoral staff member by leading in worship, teaching and preaching for services and in other venues, serving on the Metro Outreach Commission, writing for the blog, meeting with walk-ins and call-ins, participating in staff meetings, and occasionally attending session meetings.

Led the Tenth College Fellowship campus group at Temple University by teaching and discipling students in weekly meetings. Taught on rotation at the Large Group meeting. Discipled by the Senior Minister in weekly intern meetings where each intern took turns teaching and where we discussed topics surrounding the church. Participated in leading 20s and 30s group activities and teaching occasionally at their meetings. Assimilated students and young adults into the church by providing information, opportunities for service, and fellowship.
