JOHN PATRICK WHITE is Vice President, Legal Affairs at CBS where he provides legal services in connection with scripted and unscripted television series and event specials for the CBS Television Network. Prior to his legal career, John worked for 10+ years in the entertainment industry as a producer, writer, and actor. John co-wrote The Proud Family Movie for Disney Channel. As an actor, John appeared in dozens of feature films, television series, and commercials. Film credits include Teaching Mrs. Tingle (Miramax), Can’t Hardly Wait (Columbia), Galaxy Quest (DreamWorks), and Children of the Corn 666 (Dimension). Television credits include Party of Five, Chicago Hope, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Nash Bridges, Married with Children, and Touched by an Angel. John received his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law where he served as an associate editor of Pepperdine Law Review.John has taught as an Adjunct Professor of Media Law at Pepperdine University, focusing on current issues in copyright law, free speech, privacy torts, defamation, and rights of publicity.
