Project Direct for Urban ITS design and implementation for Nairobi Kenya - World Bank funded project to improve network management in this dynamic, fast growing and congested city. The project included the design for over 100 traffic signal controlled junctions as well as a new Traffic Management Centre and associated network management tools.Urban Transport Planning Expert in Uganda- as part of a team developing a new Transport Master Plan for Uganda funded by the ERB, The cities in Uganda like many cities in Africa are developing at a fast rate. The city authorities need to develop skills in Transport Planning to manage the development of transport networks that meet their local needs. To support this work the team will develop new guidance that allows the city authorities to develop tailored transport policies and programmes that deal with their local issues and plans. The guidance will place emphasis on the development of networks that provide accessibility and mobility through NMT and Public Transport.Project Manager for a large ITS/Traffic Management in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This World Bank funded project will initially develop an ITS Master Plan for Addis Ababa. The project will also develop designs for approximately 20 km of urban road corridors and 140 traffic signal junctions over the next three years. An implementation phase is then programmed. The aim of the project is to develop complete street templates that will allow the city to expand while remaining a safe and vibrant place to live.
