As an assurance manager, I take charge of the successful planning, execution, and conclusion of fast paced audits. This involves co-ordination with the clients, other audit executives, audit juniors and other audit support services to ensure that the entire audit is seamless and perfectly conducted as per the internal methodology. Currently, I have been assigned a growing portfolio of clients to manage. My key performance indicators are along ensuring that audit quality is not compromised, personal revenue targets are met, client pre-acceptance procedures are well executed, and that engagement metrics are tracked appropriately. For my portfolio, I also ensure that billings and collections are within the appropriate cycle.Further, I support the learning and development team with internal trainings for assurance seniors and associates, and peers. I also assist my audit sector with resource planning and scheduling of assignments. Overall, I participate in business strategy and development by attending assurance partners and managers (APM) sessions. I have been nominated as an assurance ambassador for an internal career growth resource, Next Wave Careers, and my key role is to champion for resourceful conversations on how one can grow their set of skills to fit their current roles and match their current skills with the right role for them within the firm.Through continuous learning and my positive attitude, I grow my skills and help grow the skills of all the audit teams that I supervise.

As an assurance assistant manager, I am tasked with supervisory roles on specified audit assignments. On a typical assignment, I would be the key contact person between the client and our audit team, I would be tasked with assessing risks and coming up with strategies on audit execution. I would co-ordinate with other audit executives to ensure quality, efficiency and effectiveness in assigned clients. I also act as a trainer to junior team members, ensuring they are perfectly mentored for the next rank ahead of them.
