Offering mediation, arbitration and med-arb services in family law disputes throughout Alberta and British Columbia, providing conflict resolution processes proportionate to the complexity, value and importance of each case. I also offer children's legal services, including non-evaluative views of the child reports, independent legal advice and children's affidavits, as well as independent legal advice for adults on family law agreements and settlements.

Responsible for the staff and day to day operations of the Institute, a national leader in multidisciplinary research on law and the family, as well as conducting legal and social science research on the impact of law on the family in Canada. The research I directed and participated in addressed subjects including: family law arbitration; lawyers' views on family law dispute resolution processes; the legal implications of polyamorous families; lawyers' satisfaction with the remedies available to enforce parenting agreements and orders; the effectiveness of the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench's mandatory early intervention process in family law disputes; parenting assessments and their use in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario; access to family justice; lawyers' and clients' satisfaction with limited scope retainers; the rights and responsibilities of litigants without counsel; Canada's aging population and the impact of family law on older adults; children's participation in justice processes; and, parenting after separation and children's experience of parental conflict.

Taught the faculty's foundational family law course to upper-year law students. This course was child-centred and provided a perspective on the practice of family law that was richly contextualized in the social, economic and psychological realities that frame the regulation of family breakdown and the resolution of family law disputes.

Represented adults and children as a litigator, negotiator, collaborative practitioner, and parenting coordinator, and provided other family law services as a child interviewer, children's lawyer, mediator and arbitrator. Listed in Best Lawyers in Canada.While at Aaron Gordon Daykin Nordlinger, I was a part of the steering committees that established the BC Hear the Child Society, the Family Law Arbitrators Group Society and the BC Parenting Coordination Roster Society. I also frequently presented to groups including the National Judicial Institute, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the National Family Law Program, the provincial and superior courts of British Columbia, the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC, the Trial Lawyers' Association of BC.
