Throughout the past 20 years I have gained extensive knowledge in the warehousing/logistics sector.I started off as a van driver many moons ago, worked my way through to the warehouse (learning everything I could) ending up as warehouse manager and then on to running a multi drop fleet of LWB vans delivering goods on behalf of the NHS - £7M contract. Now I run a very successful depot for Menzies Distribution and have been for the past 5 years. Big change from vans to HGV’s but excellent learning curve in the world of transport/logistics and took me to another level in the industry.BRCGS AA Graded warehouse status has been achieved 5 years running keeping us all on our A game producing an award winning standard.I maintain full P&L responsibility within my depot.Being involved in setting up WMS packages in my current role and also in my post in Vision Logistics has positioned me well in the company - as the go to guy for anything WMS related.My mantra in business is “The multimillion £ contracts you aim for are just the same contracts you have learned your trade from - just with an extra couple of zeros….remain the same person”
