Currently the only Class II Order Picker Trainer. Completed Hyster's Train the Trainer Program in July, 2017. Daily responsibilities include: Inspecting all merchandise returning from 10 or more delivery trucks. Reviewing sales slips to determine best course of action for each piece of merchandise. This may require sending pieces to the shop for repair, taking photos and filling out forms to submit to vendors for credit, or determining where to send merchandise for clearance.Communicate with stores and customer service regarding best course of action to satisfy customer's order. Prepare merchandise for customer pickups. Distribute merchandise from store and distribution center shuttles to proper bays for delivery or put away in racking system for future delivery. Other responsibilities:Assist with inventories at our two distribution centers in Bellwood, PA and Baltimore, MD. Assist Receiving Department during high volume or low staffing days. Determine solutions for inventory discrepancies that require immediate attention. Properly destroy merchandise removed from customer's home as part of our courtesy services.

Bellwood, Pa

Primarily handled the return of merchandise from our stores for delivery, returns to vendor, or sent to shop technicians for repair. Also handled all customer pickups at our distribution center, set up and tear down of displays for training videos show at all of our showrooms, and other random projects requiring extensive time.

State College, Pennsylvania Area

Our State College store is a two-story building, approximately 60,000 sq. ft. with a 5,000 sq. ft. warehouse. We handle two shipments of merchandise weekly, one containing new floor model merchandise and another containing sold merchandise arriving for customer pickup. I oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, worked on establishing a new system of organization and communication between the sales, office, and warehouse staff, and developed ways of utilizing a warehouse that was built smaller than necessary for a store of this size. My responsibilities include:- Creating, shipping, & receiving all transfers.- Receiving all purchase orders through outside delivery services (UPS, FedEx, etc.)- Overseeing pre-inventory checks and corrections.- Creating warehouse and cleaning staff schedules. - Ensuring safety priorities and minimizing hazards within the store. - Establishing set standards of how merchandise is to be handled and shipped for delivery and customer pick ups.- Working with our designers to set up our floor displays for optimal selling. - During busy holidays/weekends, assist sales staff by working with potential customers.

My primary responsibility was to meet with a crew leader at a given location and report to a company's meeting location that had requested our services. Most days consisted of flagging for one lane closures on country roads in the State College area, or flagging for fracking roads. Typical hours ranged between four and twelve hours a day.

The Penn State Police Department hires approximately 100 students throughout the year to handle most dorm and event security as well as event traffic directing. I began as a traffic officer, focusing on events in which traffic directing was needed prior to and after an event such as football or basketball games and concerts. After 6 months, I was promoted to an assistant supervisor position where I handled several different responsibilities including:Traffic Training (for new employees)Records QuartermasterAfter another 6 months, I was promoted to a supervisor position, and supervised both events and dorm security checks. At this point, I was both Events Manager and Emergency Management officer for the Auxiliary.
