Senior Project Manager - Change & Major Programmes• Lloyd’s International Shared Services (LISS) £700KHad the challenge of delivering the requested Lloyd’s claims processing functionality to the existing Lloyd’s Singapore Premiums Service and its expansion to a multi country offering now known as Lloyd’s International Shared Service (LISS). This included implementing changes to Xchanging’s internal PEGA, Total Object’s Global XB and Business Changes to teams based in UK, Singapore and India. In addition to this worked closely with Lloyd’s Market Focus Groups and Change Authority Boards to ensure all requirements were captured & agreed. This project required liaison with several difference specialist resource in the UK, Singapore, India and Malaysia. Both implementations were delivered on time & to budget.• New Dedicated MAT environment – £1.7M Ownership of analysis and delivery of a complex IT project for Lloyd’s of London and the AAC. The environment consists of 3 base operating systems (Unix, Wintel & Mainframe) with 78 applications which needed to be integrated to enable the delivery of the 6 cost business functions (Premium Administration, Claims Administration, Lloyd's Outwards Reinsurance, EDI Messaging, BI/MI/Reporting, and Supporting Services). Scope also included a multifaceted business change section; a new support function & model, along with a new release management process for the environment in an agreed governance with the AAC.Continued over page.• Aromo - £390K I was tasked with delivering the new automated broker queuing system (Aromo) which was failing in delivery at the point of my involvement. I was able to bring the project back into line and deliver within agreed timescales. The system is a multi-access, multi-device service which allows brokers visibility of underwriter skills and availabilit, with an Exchange server interface all written by an external developer (Kwiboo).

I was appointed to assist the programme team in introducing a companywide product standardisation and end of life programme. My main responsibility was to start up the project initiation processes to allow the programme team to collate all relevant information to produce the Project Initiation Document (PID). This involved working with the internal stakeholders to produce and present the programme’s benefits case and obtain funding for the project, acquiring project resource, appointing staff, collating all relevant product information, holding a kick-off meeting, setting up a Programme Board and introducing a Terms of Reference. I also ensured the project management processes and controls were in place to the latest industry standard (Prince II).

My responsibilities within Fifosys were to provide leadership, organisation and coordination to support the PMO key activities and staff, encompassing programme planning, governance and project management. I managed change and promoted continuous improvement of project management related processes. As the PMO manager I provided a high level of communication to all levels of the business and customers. My responsibilities are to project manage the delivery of the secure Private Mobile Radio (PMR) End User Equipment (EUE) for the London Prepares test events, the London Olympic Games & the London Paralympics Games. This is part of a £15 million project delivering secure tetra radio communications and my section required the delivery of 16,000 EUE handheld units plus multiple desktop installations in Venue Control Centres (VCC). I am directly involved with the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG) as Airwave’s customer and other partners of London 2012 throughout all the processes involved in delivering a project of this size (resource planning, contractor management, commercial negotiations, customer liaison, risk management, training requirements, logistics etc). At the peak of delivery I was managing 36 Radio Distribution Rooms (RDR) and controlling and supporting EUE in over 108 official venue locations with the responsibility of around 200 reports through Airwave, contractor and LOCOG Games Makers (volunteers).

This was a £1.72 million project, delivering & developing mobile devices & applications to assist frontline policing. The M.I.D project within Kent Police is a highly visible multifaceted project, involving multi-levelled planning, tasking & communication. I controlled the stakeholder expectations, delivery of project product deliverables & the realisation of the benefits.In addition to the above I also Project Managed a number of other projects, from initiation to closure, ranging from £50,000 to £250,000 in value, in which PRINCE2 methodology was used to deliver.
