For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a scientist. My vision of a scientist in my early days was related to the natural sciences. Then along came computers and programming and I was hooked on technology. For the last 30 years, I have worked in the technology industry – the majority of those being at Crestron. I’ve been a part of some amazing things at Crestron. One of the standouts for me was when we first announced (and released the same day!) Crestron Pyng™ (the precursor to Crestron Home) back in September 2014. We had spent some years changing our foundational architecture to make such a thing possible. We still strive for continuous improvement to the experiences we provide – which in turn drives us to improve the way we develop products. This includes improving our software architecture, our processes, and our Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC).I was lucky enough to get connected to Crestron via my other lifelong interest – music. Some of my first programming (hobby projects) were music applications. At Voyetra Technologies, I wrote music software for a living. Later we became Voyetra Turtle Beach and we made sound cards and the device that got me introduced to Crestron, the AudioTron™.These and many other connected incidents have led me along a great path. Technology has been my world and I look forward to creating new and wonderful things.
