I was responsible for the purchasing and inventory management for a large wholesale distributor of outdoor related items. I managed the acquisition of $6 million of annual purchases from both domestic and global manufacturers in Europe and Asia. Focused on maximizing inventory turns in our warehouse, I also managed the logisitics of import/export to maintain optimal profitability and reduced inventory carrying costs. In addition, I designed several products which I then contracted out to have produced for our company. I partnered with the owner of the company to produce an annual product catalog which was over 200 pages. Responsible for the product photos, copy writing, page layouts, etc, I became well versed in graphic design and professional printing techniques.
