Leader of our Corporate Intelligence department responsible for using data to identify strategic opportunities/threats and providing the necessary research and analytical support to facilitate the development of the Company’s strategy. We partner with various business unit heads to provide analytical and strategic decision-making support, recommending and implementing improvements to profitability and operational efficiency. The department is also responsible for competitive/M&A analysis and directly supporting our government affairs and investor relations teams. Examples of recent work include:-Providing strategic guidance on the impact of COVID-19 on the economy, industry, and business to our senior executives and BoD-Producing material and guidance used by Allegiant and NACA carriers with Congress, the DOT, and the Treasury Department in support of COVID-19 policy and CARES Act implementation-Daily tracking and modeling of both health and economic impacts of COVID-19 including tracking cases, mobility, unemployment, satellite data, aircraft parking/valuation trends, TSA screenings by airport, GDS bookings, etc...

Director in the finance group responsible for the business intelligence team, competitive/M&A, commercial, and operational analytics team, the company's strategic model, and the company’s route profitability. Responsible for making a quarterly presentation to the Allegiant board advising on strategic opportunities and threats stemming from the industry landscape.Accomplishments include: -Building the two teams that make up Strategic Analysis: business intelligence and competitive, commercial, and operational analytics -Centralization of all Allegiant data into a series of data marts and consolidation of all company reporting onto 1 reporting platform (Tableau) and 1 tool for self-service (SSAS cubes) leading to 5x increase in usage-Rebuilding Allegiant’s route profitability model, competitor route profitability models, and a solid set of tools for competitive analytics-Production of key presentations for investors, senior execs, and the BoD including the principal deck used for lobbying by the CEOs of the three US ULCCs-Analyses and predictive models for commercial and operational leadership to drive results improvement e.g. predicted impact of AOG aircraft & crew resources on cancellations-Construction of an in-house CRM system including finding relationships between customer behaviors using machine learning-Monthly updates of the company's strategic model

Company formed with Maury Gallagher and Sanjay Manandhar to commercialize my idea of using mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF) and ML to quickly test for COVID-19. Day to day leadership until May 21 of our team of ~30 employees and partners at SpectraPass/UC Davis/Shimadzu. Co-author of paper on technique published in Nature Scientific Reports.

Projects have included business intelligence for a part 135 scheduled carrier, a website for a part 135 charter air carrier, a website/social media setup for a medical device manufacturer, and development of an updated QSI based MPP network forecasting model for Campbell-Hill.

Responsible for directing client strategies based on “persuasive insight” from aviation data sources, including airline network and fleet planning, airline strategy, airline mergers and air service development.-Maintenance and improvement of the Airports:USA Dataminer platform

Formed in 2002 to take advantage of software opportunities, dormant until late 2005. From late 2005 till 2008 created a successful product, now called Dataminer, that provided a unique airline analysis solution for “turn-key” production of reports for O&D passengers/fares, load factors, flight schedules, airline financials, route profitability, and stage length adjusted unit costs (CASM), on a technology-based platform consisting of SQL 2005/2008, ASP.NET, and Silverlight. Intellectual Property pertaining to airline analysis solution purchased by Boyd Group International in Jan. 2008 becoming their Dataminer product which is currently in use worldwide.

Responsible for advising clients on social media and GOTV (Get Out the Vote) strategies. Worked with numerous campaigns including: Governor of MA Deval Patrick, Governor of PA Ed Rendell, former Treasurer of DE and Governor Jack Markell, Jill Derby for CD-2 NV, CD-3 MA Jim McGovern, CD-9 MA Stephen Lynch, and the OH and PA Democratic Party’s amongst others.Extensive telecommuting from home in Florida.
