Supervisor: Robert June- I worked as a Deployment Specialist for Redfin my main responsibilities were issuing out laptops (Dell, and MacBook), iPads, and other equipment and accessories to new hires, and replacing damaged or old laptops from current end users. I also issued out equipment for user that we’re migrating to or already working from home. I provided assistance for HQ’s that were reopening and needed supplies (Computers, iPads, Docking Stations, Printers, Monitors, and Accessories). I added and removed profiles from Active Directory as well as used a system called SnipeIt to create profiles for user checking out computers and deleted profiles from user who have resigned from the company and returned their computers. I pushed applications onto computers and iPads using a program called Kaseya. I created and closed tickets using the program Zendesk Support. Other programs that I use are Apple Business Manager, Workday, Slack, UPS, JamF, EZinventory, and MobileIron. Other responsibilities that I performed were checking the mail room for returned equipment and issuing it out to the assigned sepcialist. Creating request for equipment that an end user needs that HQ did not have in inventory. For Dell Laptops we imaged laptops using SSD’s writing the Creditials onto a blank Ssd and putting it into the computer when we QA’d returned computers we remove the old Ssd from the resigned user and replaced it with a new staged Ssd for redeployment. Edited the Bios and completed the deployment checklist. For MacBooks we image the devices by connecting them onto our network and Config Management to stage the device once we complete the deployment checklist. Once the computer is staged and ready to ship I notify the end user and let them know the ETA on when they will receive their device(s) and equipment. I also work with other user on projects when we have to dispatch a batch of devices to a HQ or if we have huge number of new hires starting.
