He perceived a shortage of high quality, personalised, care provision to people in his neighbourhood, and set out to bring a friendly but professional approach to supporting some of the most vulnerable people in the local community.The services offered by Caremark (Sevenoaks) ranged from companionship and light domestic help to full time live-in care. The business provided help for any adult requiring support, including the elderly and those with physical of learning difficulties.

John led over a dozen programme management assignments, for predominantly public sector clients in transportation and the health service. He acted as variously as Programme Manager, Business Change Manager and interim Head of Department, established effective programme/project management processes and mentored executives, programme managers and colleagues.

Over four years, John managed programmes in the Pharmaceutical and Financial Services sectors. Most notably, he was Business Change Manager for a programme to introduce knowledge management and decison support processes for a pharmaceuticals giant, across three continents. For a multi-national banking group, he also established and led the Programme office for a global merger integratioin programme.
