• Lead Technician - spray applications of wall and floor coatings• Experience with various testing equipment: o Perkins Elmer FT-IR Spectrometer Paragon 1000 PC o Rheometric Scientific SR-2000o MTS TestWorks 4 Electromechanical Test systemso QUV Accelerated Weathering Tester• Proficient in performance of standard and non-standard laboratory test and procedures• Instructs other technicians in the safe use of equipment and test procedures• Calculates experimental formulations within guidelines provided by supervisor• Responsible for debugging and interpretation of tests and results and record data in a laboratory notebook• Responsible for maintaining laboratory work area and following laboratory safety procedures• Responsible for scale-up of laboratory batches and participated in product trials • Experience with ISO 9001 quality management system and process improvement methods - Six sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles. • Knowledge of various robotic systems: Fanuc P2000, Electrostatic Spraymation, Eclipse, Rosco, and Semi-tech. • Proven ability to operate: Graco Pro 3/Pro 4 and ITW Ransburg Electrostatic hand spray gun.• Monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Inspect equipment for identifying: cause of errors, problems, and/or defects. Instruct co-workers on safe operation. • Root – Cause analysis of product variations and/or defects. • Instrumental in the testing and launching of new product lines. • Suggestion award winner – Modernized VOC calculations for automated spray, data recording and initiated training.• Member of the Ergonomics, Spray-booth Reliability and Oven-room Teams, examined aspects of employee interface with workplace environment and equipment function. • Consult with customer to provide support on product implementation, usage, and troubleshooting for premier accounts: Freightliner, Paccar and Volvo/Mack.• Able to independently conduct testing/experiments
