John Pfleiderer, Cts-D, Cts-I Email & Phone Number

John has worked in the communication field for over 40 years. As the AV Design Engineer and Project Coordinator for Cornell University in Ithaca, NY for 16 years, he has designed many new and renovated spaces with Audio Video technologies More recently, John has been employed at AVIXA as a Developer, Standards beginning in 2019. While at Cornell, he has served as a mentor for new hires and worked in a consulting capacity for facilities design and AV project document reviews. He has written many technical articles and has taught seminars at the InfoComm International trade shows. He has been a guest speaker at the AV Forum in Oxford, England (2006) and at the Power of AV for Education in New York City (2013). He has served as the InfoComm Technology Manager’s Council Chair and as a member of the InfoComm Board of Governors from 2003 to 2006. He was subsequently appointed by the InfoComm Board of Governors to serve on the first Certification Steering Committee in 2007. John was the Chair of the Certification Renewal Committee from 2007 to 2013 and has served as an Item Writer and Subject Matter Expert reviewer for the CTS-D and CTS-I certification tests. John has been a long time member of the Certification Committee, Membership Committee, and served on the InfoComm Strategic Planning Committee in 2007. He was appointed to the InfoComm Academy Adjunct Faculty for three consecutive years. He was a member of the InfoComm Leadership Development Committee in 2011 and was honored in 2010 as InfoComm's Volunteer of the Year. John holds both CTS-D and CTS-I certifications and holds a Master of Arts in Mass Communication.
