Track supervisor, 95 miles of Mainline and 20 miles of yard track Georgia Road and Hulsey Yard.Inspect and maintain all track structure and right-of-way to specifications set by CSX Transportation and regulated by the FRA, including railway bridges, buildings, pipes, tunnels, tracks, and special facilities. Directly supervise and develop track forces to ensure quality maintenance and safe work performance while fostering a safe work environment and improve on time operations. Directly responsible for planning and implementing periodic track inspection schedules to provide maximum coverage in a major Hump yard consisting of a receiving, classification, departure yard and several miles of main line track systems. Evaluate track defects reported by the track inspectors to determine the seriousness of the problems and the best method of repair to ensure safe passage of trains and to seek corrections for unsafe conditions. Coordinate geometry and rail test cars. Conduct daily safety briefings, training sessions, and job briefings for railroad employees regarding Roadway Worker Protection (RWP) as outlined in FRA TSS, section 214. Investigate complaints from the general public and local government officials involving unsafe track conditions. Responsible for the investigation of the causal effects involving engineering, mechanical and train operation dynamics utilized to determine the derailment cause(s). Determine probable cause of accident and follow the guidelines outlined by the FRA. Work closely with local companies and industries to ensure their rail systems are maintained to specifications set by CSX Transportation and regulated by the Federal Railroad Administration and achieved the JD Power and Assoc. Award for Customer Satisfaction by CSX Service Excellence Team for a 9/10 score from the industries serviced on my territory.
