After graduating from college I had the opportunity to rebrand and reconceptualize a small bakery that my family previously owned, but was experiencing hard times. A drastic overhaul of the business included; a thorough examination of the target market as well as an evaluation of local competition, a complete name change and rebranding of the location to fit the 55+ target market, expanding the previous business model to include made to order foods rather than exclusively baked goods, expanding hours of operation and adding a lunch and dinner menu to add addition revenue streams, putting together policies and procedures for new and old staff to streamline business operations. Our business was eventually sold in 2011 after experiencing 3 consecutive years of growth.
