Infrastructure Engineer Level 3
CurrentI started as a LAN Administrator, moved up to an Network Engineer, and then up to an Infrastructure Engineer level 3. I have played a major role in developing a highly stable fully redundant and incredibly reliable infrastructure, so much so that most of our end users rarely have any problems beyond the normal tier 1 help desk issues.I have received many training sessions since starting including: VMWare administration, Cisco VOIP systems, Oracle Linux, Checkpoint firewalls, Varonis file monitoring and DLP, Compellent SAN, Tegile SAN, and BGP. All of these training's have proved to be very useful and the knowledge gained was immediately put to use to improve the organization.As the senior engineer my duties include: Primary architect of all infrastructure, this includes: Cisco network containing Nexus and IOS switches and routers, Checkpoint firewallsSonicwall firewallsCisco ASA firewallsseveral VMWare VCenters with over 30 hostsan Active Directory Domainpublic facing servicesvendor connections(both VPN and firewall devices)16 branches on an MPLS connectionVMWare View Horizon VDInetwork security and monitoringCisco UCS chassis and bladesZero client and app VDI connections for internal and externalHelping the level 1 and 2 engineers with projects and problems as well as training as well as assisting the development team and help desk when a problem rises above their level of expertise.Architecting and managing a higly reliable disaster recovery site capable of failing over almost all services(a few would require to high of a cost) in a very short amount of time in case of a grand scale failure of the primary site. This also has the ability to fail over only the service or services you wish, or even one part of a service should you have a very specific failure.
