I have played a major role in developing a highly stable fully redundant and incredibly reliable infrastructure, so much so that most of our end users rarely have any problems beyond the normal tier 1 help desk issues.I have received many training sessions since starting including: VMWare administration, Cisco VOIP systems, Oracle Linux, Checkpoint firewalls, Varonis file monitoring and DLP, Compellent SAN, Tegile SAN, and BGP. This also has the ability to fail over only the service or services you wish, or even one part of a service should you have a very specific failure.

The owner of the computer repair shop I previously worked at(North Coast Computer Solutions) invited me to be a partner in a new venture. Together we built a thriving consumer computer repair and sales shop. During my time at this business I was the primary technician working on all manner of consumer computer problems. The most common issue was of course infestation, but also hard drive failure and data recovery, laptop repair including soldering new power jacks, and designing and building new computers for either business or gaming.I was also responsible for designing building and maintaining the infrastructure for the business including a 14 bay repair bench where each network port had access to the internet but completely isolated from each other.I also worked with a couple local high schools bringing in several students to intern. "Showing them the ropes" of computers and running a business.

I was hired as a standard technician but after just 6 months was promoted to Lead Technician. During my time here I was responsible for building and maintaining the businesses network as well as working on customer computers and networks. I regularly would do on-site repairs and installations.At one point I built a full mesh wireless network for a small community utilizing a single cable modem to share the internet connection. All of the inhabitants where thrilled to be able to give up their dial-up.During my time as Lead Technician I was responsible for hiring and managing 3 junior technicians.

I started this business with my father and a good friend, we rapidly grew to the point where we where regularly recording live shows with up to 6 cameras and full audio from the main mixer board. Our largest and most notable sessions was when we recorded Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead who led the Guinness Book of Worlds Records largest drum circle at the Earthdance Music Festival, September 2004. Our video was sent to Guinness to prove that the event had in fact broken the record by over 1000 people.Most of the work however was after the show was recorded where we had to capture all of the video and audio and produce a captivating show out of it. I was the primary video editor and audio mixer for this.I was also the one who designed and built the video editing systems, the first version used Windows NT 4.0 but was rapidly replaced by Windows 2000. These video and audio editing systems had fully redundant removable storage and one of them is still in use today, 18 years later.
