Since 2000, built an impressive record of achievements through a series of increasingly responsible clinical and administrative management positions that include Staff Anesthetist, Practice Director, Director of Facility Relations and Vice President of Rural Facilities. Retained by Northstar Anesthesia to oversee the execution of new contracts and manage day-to-day clinical operations and facility administration functions within their rural hospital line of business.- Directly manage the execution of new and existing contracts across the network- Provide clinical anesthesia care to patients in a variety of settings throughout the Midwest: office-based locations, inpatient facilities, critical access and ambulatory facilities. - Management of bariatric patients and difficult airways by successfully completing over 500 awake fiberoptic intubations with associated airway anesthesia (trans tracheal, superior laryngeal, topical)- Developed a comprehensive block program / acute pain service (APS) at multiple ambulatory and inpatient facilities.- Act as ASC liaison with medical administrative staff, establish and standardize anesthesia services and best practices, contract execution, inspections (AOA, AAAHC, JCAHO), CQI processes and staffing- Developed and stabilize staffing models and enhance services provided to the OB unit, emergency department and intensive care unit- Recognize the anesthesia service, secure permanent staffing, standardize anesthesia equipment, improve the handling / accounting of controlled substances and improve lines of communication- Oversee the development of inpatient and outpatient acute pain service and establish SNRA rotations with Oakland University, University of Detroit Mercy, and Hillsdale Community Health Center in Cheboygan - Service on numerous committees at various facilities: Block Scheduling, OR Governance Committee, CQI Committee and P & T Committee
