I lead, manage and support a number of international drowning prevention initiatives that form part of the RNLI's international strategy. I work with a range of stakeholders using project and problem tools to create human centred solutions. I designed and developed a complete international learning and development framework and governance model to enable the creation, design and delivery of intervention resources designed to enable capacity building in lifesaving organisations. The governance model and parts of the framework are now being used by the RNLI nationally in the UK I led the co-design of a Trainer/Assessor resource that is now in use in many lifesaving organisations worldwide including the RNLI and the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service. This course and been successfully accredited by Skills for Justice. This resource is now available on the RNLI International web site rnli.org.uk/international I led the RNLI International sustainable lifesaving equipment project. Aimed at giving all communities access to lifesaving equipment, has seen the co-design of resources to enable community manufacture, all available on the RNLI International resource page

I led the co-design, development and delivery of the national leadership and command programme of work. This has resulted in thousands of RNLI staff attending the course which aims to equip leaders with the skills and knowledge to lead, manage and command operational teams to enhance the safety of communities. New VR technologies such as XVR are combined with proven command and leadership models introduced in a group environment to provide maximum learning potential.

Operational and Technical Rescue Manager (Whole time) currently based at Poole Fire Station in Dorset.Manage an operational team of fire and technical rescue specialists to reduce risk within the community. Respond to emergency incidents within the Dorset and Wiltshire area in partnership with other agencies.

The Poole Harbour Island Safety Groups objective is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all those that live on, work on or visit the islands. It meets twice yearly and comprises island owners, residents, organisations and emergency services. The group gives a voice and a communications network to the islands
