My current role is the contract manager on the Invista Brockworth site, my responsibilities include warehouse, transport, financial monitoring, ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance is maintained and that the Company's procedures and objectives are achieved.I became the DHL lead on a customer project to implement a straddle carrier on to their site and to convert part of their premises into a container yard, we completed this in March 2017 and is now fully operational on siteI work very closely with our site customer to make sure all their objectives are achieved in a timely mannerI operate an open and a closed book contract.

My role as the transport manager covers four different transport contracts, these are all very different, one contract is the movement of a polymer chip in tipping containers to feed my customers site 24/7 356 days a year, the other contract is the movement of specialised metals through out the UK and Europe, the third is the movement of window and out side plastics throughout the south west and wales and the last is movement of airbag nylon to mills throughout the UK.

As the transport controller I'm accountable for all the D.H.L vehicles on open and closed book contracts that operate on site,this ranges from all compliance issues,key two software and controlling all drivers Tachograph's and working time directive issues. On the polymer operation I'm also accountable for all drivers route planning and collections,completing kpi's and following standard operating procedures and maintaining health and safety on site.

As the transport co-ordinator I have been responsible for the setting up and organizing of the transport office at Shire Park for a short term Christmas relief contract handling 8.3 million cases in six months. This involved managing a pool of twenty class 1 drivers and a team of four transport clerks and four shunters,at all times i had to ensure departmental kpi's and customer levels were met and appropriate measures for improvement sought.

J&S Motorcycles was a small company importing used motorcycles from India and China to sell in the UK.It also sold used motorcycle parts to the general public.My main role at J&S was to source and import all the bikes to the UK.
