John Priest is President of Crossland Construction Company. Established in 1977, Crossland offers varied construction delivery methods, including preconstruction, design/build, construction management, and general contracting services. Engineering News Record ranks Crossland among the top 100 contractors in the United States. From Fortune 500 companies and local businesses to municipalities, Crossland builds commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects nationwide. Regional division offices are located in Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas, and Colorado. John earned his degree from Oklahoma State University, and joined Crossland Construction in 1998. He was part of the original team charged with opening Crossland’s first office in Oklahoma. John quickly climbed the ranks, rising to Division Manager during his first five years with the company. As Division Manager, John spent the next 12 years developing client relationships, increasing market share, and building the Crossland brand across multiple offices within the region. In 2015, John was promoted to President of Crossland Construction Company. John has been a member of the company’s Board of Directors for many years, has played an integral role in the development of many of the company’s strategic plans, has assisted with the implementation of new procedures companywide, and has worked to develop and advance Crossland’s presence in new markets. For more than a decade, Priest has resided on the Oklahoma State University Construction Management Advisory Board. Through this affiliation, John was instrumental in fundraising efforts and the establishment of an endowed chair and scholarship fund. He was also an active member of the Oklahoma Youth Build program through the Tulsa Technology Center, in partnership with Crossland Construction.
