Site ManagerMiller Construction Jul 2007 - Jan 2009Bolton Market HallManaged sub-contractors on £18 million refurbishment of a 150 year old Grade II listed building for Warner Estates. The internal market hall was demolished and a new steel frame was erected to form 25 new retail units. These units where then fitted out by retailers such as H+M and Zara for whom I was also required to manage the shop fitters.Role included overseeing extensive new mall works, new floor and wall finishes and a complete redecoration of the existing cast-iron structure. As the site was located in the city centre, with minimum storage space I was required to plan efficiently for deliveries of resources and display an accurate and in-depth knowledge of the development of the project.I managed a full mechanical fit-out with 7 new lifts and an escalator and oversaw extensive works to the exterior of the building with a complete re-roofing and stone repairs.
