Particular attention given to design collaboration with the client to achieve custom creations and material enhancements. Carpentry ,millwork and fine finishes were the core of the focus and new technologies in residential construction techniques were pursued with earnest.

This role of Site Manager embraced the administration of all site based construction activity to a single /multiple job location. Responsibilities included steering the tendering process to a successful selection of trades and then organising, scheduling, supervising the trade work. Liasion between the project management team and the on-site construction team was a key requirement. Other key roles were the application of the Company Health and Safety Policy, and carrying out Close out documentation at project completion.

A key role was to interact with the client on a regular basis, and keep everyone up to date on all design changes, challenges, and architectural considerations and the municipal building authority. As a contract employee, I also carried out carpentry and millwork installation activities and custom detailing for high end custom finishes.

There was also a requirement to lead and mentor to a small in house carpentry crew.

The role was that of site supervisor for a number of small institutional projects and included the interpretation of the full architectural documentation, liasing with the municipal government client, managing all onsite activity, ensuring full site safety, following the construction schedule and maintaining budget /time constraints. Critical evaluation and problem solving skills were essential in realizing the successful completion of the project.

The program was extended to a number of manufacturing facilities and combined covered a total area over 300,000 sq ft.
