Led the evaluation and selection of a data archival solution (Solix) to address a critical gap in supporting Finance's data retention needs.• Advanced the architectural roadmap for HCSC's member engagement platform, B-Engaged, integrating best-of-breed solutions to support campaign management (Adobe), content generation (OpenText), and content delivery (SilverPop, Vibes, Urban Airship) via a custom orchestration framework leveraging APIs and Pivotal Cloud Foundry microservices.• Facilitated the creation of a modernization roadmap for BlueGateway, a legacy mainframe system responsible for the receipt, balancing, aggregation and subsequent GL posting of claims and expense data. Motorola was acquired by Google in May 2012 and subsequently acquired by Lenovo in October 2014.• Led the definition and implementation of the Information As-A Service strategy whose goal was to make Motorola’s information assets more accessible. Initially leveraging an on-premise Hadoop cluster (Cloudera), environment was subsequently migrated to Google Cloud Platform (CloudSQL, Big Query, App Engine, Compute Engine). Solution stack also included the use of Talend Studio for Big Data for ELT/ETL processing and Tableau for data presentation.

• Responsible for reviving the Information Management (IM) function at Motorola Mobility thru the definition and socialization of a fresh IM Strategy addressing organizational, process, technology and data needs.• Directed the development of a new Mobility Data Warehouse (MDW) built in conjunction with the Business Transformation (BT) program, which targeted the consolidation of 6 regional ERPs (Oracle 11) to a single, global Oracle R12 EBS instance, enabling multiple, legacy data warehouses to be retired. Leveraged Oracle’s Business Intelligence (OBIEE) platform and Business Intelligence Applications (OBIAs) to provide the foundation for MDW, enabling rapid delivery of business intelligence capabilities.• Collaborated with Finance team to expand the use of Oracle's Data Relationship Manager (DRM) platform to address Master Data Management challenges with Customer, Geographic, Department, and Product hierarchies.

Consorta was a Group Purchasing Organization that provided contracting, clinical, and other services to its hospital member base. Consorta's operations were fully consolidated with those of HealthTrust Purchasing Group (Nashville, TN) in 2010 and Consorta's operations were discontinued on 12/31/2010.• Established and staffed the Data Management department, managing a team of 4 analysts and a departmental budget of over $2M.• Responsible for the architecture, implementation and on-going support of Consorta's Supply Chain Analytics program which assisted Consorta's member hospitals in identifying supply chain savings opportunities through analysis of their procurement data against the GPO contract portfolio. In first 3 years, this program identified over $10M in savings opportunities and recovered over $3M in unpaid rebates.• Developed the procedures and data-visualization approaches used to document and communicate cost savings/avoidance opportunities identified through Consorta’s Supply Chain Analytics program. Designed and implemented system (SharePoint/Access) and supporting processes to track opportunities through realization.• Established and managed outsourcing relationship with MedAssets Analytical Systems to provide data aggregation/normalization and business intelligence services in support of Supply Chain Analytics program.• Directed the implementation of an EDI 832 pricing interface between Consorta’s product catalog and the GHX Contract Center. Actoras was a boutique management consulting firm that specialized in business operations and IT alignment and enablement within the insurance, financial services, healthcare, and manufacturing verticals.• Established and executed an Information Systems Strategy for a major Group Purchasing Organization (Consorta) detailing organizational, business processes, and technological improvements necessary to sustain business operations and future growth. Designed and directed the implementation of various federated data marts (SQLServer) to support business operations in contracting and finance. Led the evaluation of Business Intelligence suites and assisted in the subsequent selection, implementation and roll-out of Business Objects.• Developed the RFP for a Vehicle Crash Records System for the State Police of Midwestern State Government. Responsible for identifying the functional, technical and architectural requirements. • Developed the Future State IT Architecture and Architecture Transition Plans as part of an overall Strategic Operations Plan for a Southwestern-based insurance company that specializes in worksite disability. Examined the feasibility of consolidating the State’s multiple purchasing and accounting systems, and addressed leveraging e-procurement and data warehousing capabilities.• Collaborated in the development of a Strategic Information Technology Plan for a principal (Top 5) Illinois city government. Detailed cost savings strategies and necessary technology infrastructure investments over a 5-year horizon to support anticipated population growth and increased demands on city services.

• Defined the technology guiding principles for an Operations Sales & Service Strategy for a major New England-based personal/commercial lines insurer. Agency Operations recommendations allowed insurer to reduce their expense ratio by over 10% in the first year of implementation.• For a multi-line recreational products company, led the definition of the architectural roadmap to expand their existing web and eCommerce footprint, including branded consumer websites and channel partner extranets.• Reviewed the data warehousing architecture for a Midwest-based commercial line division of a Pacific Northwest-based multi-line insurer. Facilitated a JAD workshop with the actuarial end-users to validate the data warehousing key business drivers and requirements.
