Assumed responsibility for the development and enhancement of FactSet's main ASV (Annualized Subscription Value) reporting web application, which allows exploration of the sales datastore. The application relates the sales data to several dimensions (Sales Hierarchy, Client, Product and Time), and provides aggregation and drill-down along those dimensions.Translated complex rules for sharing sales credit between Sales Generalists and Specialists, and across standalone and bundled products whose composition can change over time, into a single data view. This is replacing separate, fragmented views, and is fostering a more cohesive relationship between Generalists and Specialists.Implemented a security model on this application to ensure that users have visibility on only the ASV pertinent to their role. This has been effective in limiting the number of users who require full ASV access and who must, therefore, be subject to trading restrictions and oversight by our Legal department. Related to that security model, built an application for our Legal department that daily simulates each user's ASV exposure, and flags any user over a specific threshold. This allows proactive identification of users needing said oversight.For Sales Operations, developed a suite of ten web pages, each tasked with automating a workflow that had been an inefficient mix of human and computing processes. One example is the mapping of products (thousands) to salesperson-types (hundreds) which is used by the sales crediting rules engine mentioned above. Another example is changing the security model, mentioned just above, for individuals or groups.For Finance, developed an algorithm that computes monthly Revenue change based on preceeding months' ASV change, and exposed this dataset in the ASV reporting web application.
