About John R. Buck

I teach electrical and computer engineering at UMass Dartmouth. I also hold a joint appointment in the School for Marine Science and Technology. My research focuses on applications of signal processing and information theory to underwater acoustics. I also do pedagogical research on teaching signal processing, including active and collaborative learning techniques, and standardized assessments for conceptual understanding.
