I won two consecutive bids for the office of Mayor for the City of Provo, UT. As the de facto CEO of the city, holding highest municipal office, I led all aspects of city operations, strategy, budgeting, and finance while ensuring every resident and business had a voice in the city’s plans for growth and success.In fact, during my terms of office, the city won ~20 awards honoring our successes in volunteerism, low unemployment, IT, entrepreneurialism, business, and more. During this period, I was personally honored ~10 times for my leadership contributions to the city.My core areas of executive leadership span:+ Large organizational leadership+ Strategic vision for growth+ Marketing strategy and branding+ Budgeting and financial strategy+ Generating stakeholder consensus on important but difficult decisions+ Crisis management+ Fundraising+ Technology strategy—importantly, we brought in Google Fiber to the city, by which all residents and businesses benefitted from inexpensive, fast Internet access+ Social media strategy+ Stewardship of Utah’s natural resources+ Transportation—I brought in our first commercial air service+ Relationships with federal and local government leaders.Although I enjoyed a 92% approval rating among Provo residents, and I’ve loved serving my amazing city during this truly magical period in its growth, I’ve declined to run for a third term. For Action Target, I led sales and operations strategy as COO and influenced all aspects of the business. To grow this business, I tirelessly strategized across all departments, including R&D, finance, sales, and production, I aligned our strategy to achieve unprecedented sales growth to 8 digits (+700%). At the same time, I led a major alignment of resources that improved our margins.
