I assisted TQL customers with booking full truckload shipments throughout all of North America, including the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. After the loads had been picked up, I tracked the carrier from pickup until delivery by performing daily check calls. After the load had been delivered, I collected the BOLs / PODs from the carrier and submitted them into the system.

DirectBuy is a furniture club that allows members to purchase furniture at prices that are significantly discounted. DirectBuy is a great option for people who are remodeling their homes or are looking to re-furnish an entire room, whether it be dining room, kitchen, bedroom, or front room.I scheduled appointments over the phone for people to visit the showroom and learn about the benefits of becoming members at Direct Buy. This was primarily done through cold calling. Some warm leads were provided as a result of a mailing campaign. I scheduled as many as 8 appointments in 1 month for people to visit showroom who enrolled in the club. I was 2nd in terms of the overall number of appointments I scheduled that month for people who joined the club, tying one of my supervisors.While working at DirectBuy, I helped in other areas as well. I greeted and met with potential customers when they scheduled appointments to visit the showroom. I persuaded 5 couples who visited the showroom to enroll in a membership. I worked in the warehouse on days that extra help was needed with loading and unloading trucks. When the decision was made to turn half the showroom into a warehouse I stripped the carpet, chiseled away at ceramic tile with a Sawzall, and demolished walls with a sledgehammer. I also helped move all of the furniture and equipment that was in stock from the old warehouse to the new warehouse. Ultimately, I was willing to step up and help the business in any way that I could.
