Responsible for increasing value and removing waste from operational streams under direction of VP of Operations. Our goal was to drive efficiency in the manufacturing process deploying various techniques used in the Toyota Production System including Just In Time delivery, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping and Five S. I was successful at maintaining operational efficiency at or above 90% for the duration of my employment, as monitored through Key Performance Indicators such as Material and Labour efficiency. I was also successful at driving continuous improvement by upgrading key facilities and practices within our plant including upgraded safety guidelines, better material storage and tool organization, unique inventory numbering and tracking system(bar code based), development and implementation of a tracked quality control system and increased employee involvement.
