Founded October 2013 Hero Kids Foundation is dedicated to "Giving Light to Those Who Serve at Home." The Hero Kids Foundation (HKF) seeks to promote, support, and foster both the children of military and uniformed civil service veterans with the entire family, utilizing animal-assisted therapies. Our goal is to provide a multidisciplinary approach to support the veteran’s family through counseling, education, relationship development, and recreation. The Hero Kids Foundation is bringing a vast array of Americans together and harnessing the knowledge of Animal Therapeutics for today and into the future.

Responsible for providing technical, financial and administrative project oversight in order to maximize the effective use of project resources. Specific areas include: financial reviews, data analysis, conference and seminar activities, budget and accounting, preparation of draft analyses, presentations, testimonies, speeches and reports, space management, personnel management, overall management, contracts, and purchasing. Works on abstract problems and identifies and evaluates fundamental problems for major functional areas through assessment of intangible variables.

-Fleet representative to Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Program initiatives. Establishing assessment guidance, mental health services to deployed forces and follow on treatment or intervention with Naval Medical Treatment Facilities’ regulation.-Action Officer for Congressional inquiries. Responsible for investigation and response to congressional inquiries assigned; specifically Fleet mental health inquiries.-Cultivate inter-Service and DoD-level partnerships to facilitate Joint medical equipment testing and evaluation.-Leader of Fleet integration of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC)Program and medical response to chemical and biological terrorist attack.-Medical Senior Enlisted Leader for humanitarian and disaster relief operations. Responsible for development of Fleet medical response from manning to materials and equipment, and logistical deployment of resources.-Medical Manning Control Authority (MCA). Responsible for all present manning numbers, acquisition and replacements in the fleet and develops future platform manning requirements and authorization.-Key developer in the Navy Maritime Operation Center (MOC), and Medical Crisis Action Team (MCAT) establishing operational principles, evaluation and certification standards for the Fleet.-Senior Military Analyst supporting Joint Capability Development implementation and integration of Joint Command and Control (JC2) concepts and technology across Combatant Commands, Services, Agencies (C/S/A) and multinational partners. -Fleet representative to OPNAV steering committee for future medical capabilities. Responsible for restructuring of logistics, personnel, and capabilities of the Expeditionary Medical component to combatant commanders’ future warfighting capabilities.

-Responsible for the development, training, and deployment of 110 medical personnel in support of four SEAL teams, three special operations support activities.-Initiated a far forward mental health program, providing regular and routine mental health engagement and mission-specific or grievance support in the field for unit personnel losses, and follow on care to continue to garrison.-Developed and deployed Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) Program. First to implement a NSW TCCC deployment program and refresher program for all deploying personnel (trained over 1,000 NSW deploying personnel in the first year).-Created training pipeline for non-SEAL Corpsmen assigned to NSW, establishing criteria that became standard requirement for duty with NSW.-Established the first Medical Plans, Operations, Medical Intelligence (POMI) Department. Responsible for developing tactical and operational level planning for medical casualty evacuation, theater medical planning and implementation, and deployment of resource for collection and analysis of theater medical intelligence. -Lead Program facilitator and Instructor for NSW Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and High Explosive Course.-Established NSW Medical Civilian Assistants Program (MEDCAPS) and Veterinarian Civilian Assistant Program (VETCAP).

-Established command’s first Sensitive Compartmental Information Facility (SCIF). Created instruction and directives, for establishment, usage and security of SCIF, created protocol for storage of classified items, and daily encryption standards.-Acted as Certifying Official for information, data, and equipment classification to include Top Secret/SCI.-Responsible for initial individual security clearance interviews, requests for clearance and submission of security clearance requests to Naval Adjudication Office.-Cleared reporting personnel and visitors through Joint Personnel Adjudication Program (JPAS). -Manned, trained and equipped Chemical and Biological Medical Response Force deploying to USMC and NSW.
