John has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He has a broad, international background in front,middle and back office environments of investment management firms, securities broker-dealers, investment banks, futures commission merchants, fintech service providers, swap execution facilities, swap dealers, equity, options and futures exchanges.He has strong cross-asset class and cross-domain expertise in both exchange-traded and OTC markets. John has direct, hands-on experience with equities, options, fixed income, futures, foreign exchange, digital assets and crypto currencies. John's extensive experience includes: market structures, strategic planning, operational risk management, trading technologies, trading life cycles, business continuity management, regulatory compliance and technology consulting to the global capital markets arena. John has been associated with a number of successful capital markets and derivatives e-commerce projects in the past 10 years.​Prior to his association with Tellefsen, John directed the sales and marketing for the IBM Corporation's Exchanges line of business, and Stratus Computer’s Capital Markets vertical. John was also a co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Mahogany Partners, a block trading technology services provider.​John has been a strategic advisor to several fintech companies and has been a board member and officer of the Markets and Technology division of the Futures Industry Association (FIA).John has been designated a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) by DRI International, the disaster recovery institute.John is a frequent speaker or moderator at various industry conferences and has appeared in numerous publications including: CME Group Magazine, the Congressional Federal Register, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Financial Insights, the Financial Times, Futures Magazine, The Institute of Internal Auditors, Market Voice Magazine, the MSCI Handbook of World Stock, Derivative and Commodity Exchanges and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
