Responsible for project management and engineering operational excellence for Residential Light Commercial Americas' engineering product development organization.

Led a staff of nine that were responsible for project management and new product development process governance, reliability engineering, process management, continuous improvement, productivity, for a new product design center that develops and tests HVAC equipment and adjacent electronic controls.

Led new product development programs for residential electronic controls. Scope of programs included electronic hardware and firmware development, testing, and manufacturing launch readiness. Facilitated collaboration between facilities in the U.S, Mexico, India, and China. Also had responsibility for improving effectiveness of new product development.

Served as Program Manager for new product development and launches in Residential Electronics. Scope was cross functional and included project initiation through market launch. Managed collaboration between design centers in Asia and the U.S. as well as activities with a corporate research center and external consultants.

Led the productivity process for the Indianapolis operations from idea through project completion. Facilitated productivity workouts and provided oversight for a portfolio of projects that drove productivity through process improvements, and design changes.

Managed multiple complex programs involving new product development, manufacturing transitions / footprint changes, and business turnarounds. Most programs were cross divisional and multi national. Managed two program managers as direct reports and numerous other project leaders via dotted line.Core member of a team that developed a formal PMO.

Managed, tracked, and reported on the portfolio of all new product development and continuous improvement projects for a division. Coached project leaders on adherence to the NPD process, use of project management tools, and team dynamic issues.

Managed process engineering and quality assurance for all assembly operations. Led staff of seven manufacturing engineers and QA technicians.

Member of internal consulting team that deployed lean manufacturing in Ingersoll Rand factories.

Responsible for a 3 shift automotive tier one component operation with 150 employees. Direct reports included shift supervisors. materials manager, QA & manufacturing engineers. Led transition from traditional manufacturing to lean. Changed culture to become proficient at constraint management and data driven decision making.

Responsible for Quality Assurance and Process Engineering at a central distribution center. Also served as interim HR manager for eight months in addition to normal duties. Led the recruiting and selection of a major ramp up of hourly associates during the integration of another facility.

Served as the plant leader for changing an automotive tier one factory from traditional to Just-in-Time. Factory went from worst to best in several key metrics in 18 months and became the lean benchmark for the entire corporation. Also managed the training department. Customized and instructed course based on Toyota Production System. Implemented a skill.

Supervised 37 hourly associates that manufactured automotive engine bearings.
