Independently manage the day to day business operations of both First United Methodist Church and Day Care. Responsible for all accounting duties of both entities, onboarding of new employees, payroll, payroll taxes, filing Federal and State quarterly withholding income tax returns, approving disbursements, maintaining accounting filing records, preparing financial reports for multitude of the Church’s committees, handled levies, wage garnishments, and other withholdings from employee’s wages, and assisted in a wide array of other accounting and managerial functions for both the Church and Day Care.

Prepared monthly, quarterly, and annual compilations, reviews, and audits for profit and non-for profit organization. Responsible for the preparation of individual tax returns, payrolls, quarterly 941’s, and financial statements. Maintained fixed asset schedules, reconciled bank statements, provided year-end tax planning guidance, made month/year-end journal entries and a variety of other accounting support functions.

Responsible for the restructuring of troubled or distressed borrower relationships and/or adversely graded loans of diverse size and complexity within the Bank’s loan portfolio. Regularly communicated with commercial lenders, internal and external attorneys, and outside professionals to minimize out-of-pocket legal and non-legal expenses related to loan remediation by focusing on the cost benefit of maximizing loan recoveries. Primary relationship manager responsible for downstate Illinois, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Fort Meyers, Florida.

Independently evaluated and assessed the credit risk of large commercial loans through detailed financial statement analysis, industry assessment, collateral value and integrity, cash flow analysis and the ability to repay annual debt obligations.
