Lead and coached the team to repeated success. High pass rates for all key KPI's with excellent progress achieved. Successful implementation of memory techniques to support children's long term learning.Ensured school stayed on budget. Increased income from other sources to support school budget. Moved additional income from 1/5th of budget to over 1/4. Providing a wide range of extended opportunities for our children with numerous clubs and learning opportunities extending the core offer. This includes our TV studio which produces short news programmes, written, produced and directed by the children. Continued to develop interview strategies and implemented online induction to support efficient processes. Successfully reduced office man hours required, and improved record keeping, through implementation of automation for key processes. Organised and devised changes to the school building that hugely improved safeguarding and provision for the children. Implemented a brand new library and improvements to the EY provision. Instigated additional support services for parents including wrap around care. Wrap around care has been self funding.

Overseas

Led and managed our EY provision on separate campus 7 miles from main site. Developments implemented with team saw us move from 'Good' to 'Outstanding' in our last Ofsted Inspection Report. 160-210 Children and 32 staff in EY section. Ensured the best outcomes and progress for children with high levels of progress for children year on year. Devised and implemented structured training for support team and coached teaching team to challenge and succeed.SENCO for whole school. Managed and led SEN provision tracking and ensuring best progress for our most vulnerable children. Ensured excellent record keeping and liaison with onward schools to ensure that needs continued to be met. Developed excellent relationship with parents that supported the needs of the children ensuring that identified programmes could be delivered.

Poole

Over the period led Science, ICT and Mathematics in a school with 400 children.ICT - moved the school from RI in ICT to Good. This was achieved by coaching and mentoring colleagues to make better use of equipment. Leading a project to massively enhance the IT available to the children along with implementing white boards as part of the national initiative. Science - identified that teaching was being dropped in favour of other subjects. Worked with colleagues to reverse this. Ensured excellent levels of well organised resourcing to remove pain points for set up of lessons. Provided examples of good practice and supported team with scheme enhancements.

Poole

Worked across 38 primary schools supporting and leading school improvement. Provided direct support to schools, INSET training, school based teacher training sessions, and OFSTED support. Instrumental in brining the EPICT award to Poole schools, successfully getting schools to commit funds and engage in high quality pedagogical learning experiences. John was directly involved in several large school building projects guiding the planning and implementation of networks and equipment that are fit for purpose.
