Construction Contracts Manager (Contractor)Via Environmental Mitigation Sub-Contractorfor East West Rail Alliance 2March 2019 – Feb 2020Responsible for working closely with the client and project ecologists on the EWR2 project to ensure that natural habitats were protected, erecting fencing to keep wildlife out, such as newts, badgers, water voles and reptiles, and creating habitats for otters, bats, badgers and hibernating animals.Works included the construction of a project-critical, bat house structure, delivered in extremely challenging conditions, together with major groundworks and civil engineering.Responsible for sourcing and supplying all relevant trades, to deliver a complete package of works, including, site engineer, surveyor, site manager, supervision, all plant ops, bricklayers, carpenters, roofers, and trained ecology/groundworkers.Combined project value £3.15M

Project Manager (Contractor)West Midlands TrainsApril 2018 – March 2019Project Manager responsible for delivering the first phase of WMT’s committed obligation to deliver enhanced digital customer information (DCI) screens to 39 key stations across the franchise network.The contract covered complete GRIP5 design including Listed Building Consent (LBC) to achieve Landlords Consent (LLC), structural calculations and installation of over 550 screens. Responsible for the management of all external resource (agency) on multiple sites throughout the country, with up to, at a peak 400 staff engaged on many diverse projects across the UK. Established and operated a preferred supplier framework, for key suppliers, including procurement, negotiation of framework rates, volume rebates, overseeing supplier engagement in behavioural safety programme and day to day management of an annual spend of circa £12.5MDeveloped innovative solutions, to enhance standards of safety-critical staff competence, and also overseen the rollout of a groundbreaking programme, setting new standards for the provision of PPE as worn by agency staff.

New Wakefield Westgate StationResponsible for the complete refurbishment of station platforms, including total platform resurfacing, installation of new copers and tactiles, re-alignment and regauging throughout, installation of new platform canopies, new station lighting, PA and telecom systems, the building and fit out of a new waiting room, platform extensions, and the demolition of the former Wakefield Westgate Station all carried out whilst working with the TOC to maintain the operational viability of the new station throughout the works.
