Test, Potting and Final Finishing Grave and Swing Shift.• Up to 38 employees performing multiple types of testing in various settings including dark room environments• Prep tubes for test including soldering, taping and potting of bare tubes into “modules”.• Final product preparation including back plating, laser marking, cleaning and delivery of finished product.• Strategic planning and execution of schedule based on product type and customer requirements.• Work through challenges unique to off shift operations in order to keep product flowing.• Pass down of critical inter-shift communications and department QDIP metrics.

• Sales and service of ATV’s, Dune Buggies, Motorcycles, Mopeds, Mobility Scooters, R/C Cars.• Added internet presence, purchased tools & equipment, re-arranged show room, developed brochures, started buggy club.• Developed a quarterly customer appreciation meet with Safety and maintenance advice & free food, refreshments.• Started support group among valley sport atv dealers to discuss best business practices and share shipping expenses.• Cut costs, removed rented storage containers, parted out old units, cataloged used part supply, developed pricing policy

• Direct Leadership of several machining, assembly and test areas. Including several integrated supply chain “Assembly to Pack” cells on day, swing and graveyard shifts • Up to 65 direct reports including Technicians, Engineers, Production Control and Quality folks.• Also responsible for several support areas at different stages of this time period including; Fabrication Control, Master Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, SPC Engineering, Special processes, Electrical and Machined Assemblies, Tube Shop, Tool Room, Inspection, Make-Buy, Real Time Corrective Action, Safety, Process Improvement, etc.• Engaged in mentoring and training of peers and subordinates.• Responsible for meeting cell performance targets including: on time delivery, shipment linearity, productivity, quality, WIP inventory, cycle time, setup to run ratio, budgets, capital, safety, employee satisfaction and pay planning. • Lead, support, and implement six sigma, lean initiatives, manufacturing process control (MPC), 5S projects while eliminating non-value added activities to meet both productivity and product cost objectives.

• Job Shop Aerospace machining and plating processes. In-house manufacturing of extreme tolerance shafts. • Ten full time direct report employees operating various grind department machinery. Ten hours per day, six days per week.• Training, In-process inspection, Tooling, Maintenance and Supplies. • Strategic Planning, Engineering and resource allocation for in house products as well as job shop Grind Plate Grind.• Full Department P&L, Quoting, Customer & Supplier responsibility.
