Responsible for the delivery of high value multi lingual software for the automotive industry. Lead Engineer on design and development of web site, service based European software product.Helped develop the business through transitional period where development life cycle methodology changed dramatically to achieve strategic objectives.

Following a successful contract at Stoneridge, I was offered the post of Software Engineer. I was a developer in a small team working on software to support the introduction of the digital tachograph throughout Europe. This included the design and development of a number of software products from the ground up.

This contract included the creation of a windows application that formed a secure delivery method to a specific hardware device in the field. The software used encrypted messages to ensure that only specific devices were updated in the field.

Used a variety of programming languages to build complex and high-value functional database-driven websites, some of which included large bespoke Intranet sites for major organisations.

Software Developer role in a large Engineering team for the development and maintenance of windows-based applications that included interfacing with proprietary hardware, smart card systems and databases.Customer visits for requirement gathering, on-site training and deployment were regular activities.
