Since leaving full time education in 1979 I went into the family roofing business and became a hard working labourer. Then after several years of hard work and determination I became a competent roof tiler and set out on my own and successfully ran my own business for many years. In 1992 I was approached by a large building company who made me an excellent offer to buy my business to which I accepted. With that capital I invested in a failing domestic window cleaning business and grew it into a reasonable business with several employees and eventually taking on industrial and commercial contracts and branching out into other areas of the cleaning industry. It was then in 2013 that I had an offer to buy my cleaning business from a close rival company that I accepted. Shortly after that my wife and I decided to relocate to the Essex coast and semi retire at 50 years of age with the proceeds of selling our house and my cleaning business. After a few Months of relocating I joined a small local contract cleaning company to increase the size of their window cleaning division. After one year I dramatically turned that division around and secured a contract with a major facilities company to include 17 local schools with the option to quote for more in North London and ran that department with 5 employees. Unfortunately the terms of employment was not adhered to and promises were unkept so I had no alternative but to leave that company and in a much healthier state as when I came onboard. I am now very proud to be the new business manager of wwwauroragroupservices.co.uk and looking forward to an exciting time getting back into the cleaning industry.
