Projects include: Robust Study Design - Led change on how scientists conduct in vivo studies by implementing statistical ideals such as randomization, blinding, and appropriately powered studies into all study protocols. This increased reproducibility & translatability of in vivo studies. Independent Scientific Review (ISR) - Developed & managed 19 worldwide scientific forums. An ISR brought together key stakeholders & subject matter experts to review the scientific justification of each in vivo study and make recommendations for changes ahead of a study being approved. GSK Global 3Rs Strategy – served as project & change manager for a multifaceted project that focused on decreasing dependency on animals, increasing translation & scientific rigor, integration of science & welfare, and amplification of 3Rs across the business. Required collaborating with multiple stakeholders across the business matrix and managing over 18 separate workstreams to gather KPIs metrics and reporting. Developed and maintained the “3Rs Hub” on GSK intranet, a series of webpages for resources related to the 3Rs and the Global 3Rs Strategy. Single point of accountability for departmental webpages, developed, maintained, & updated numerous pages with animal related information used worldwide. Managed departmental communication channels to ensure consistent message. Partnered with external vendor, Process Unity, in managing internal risk database – AWRRD (Animal Welfare Risk Review Database) Secretariat for the Office Leadership Team. Managed & coordinated bimonthly meetings & projects. Developed & executed multiple annual worldwide meetings in the US, UK and virtually.

Derived insight on use of animal models by analysis of data from internal & external sources. Utilized insights for the purpose of enhancing data management, scientific practices, animal welfare & the application of the 3Rs. Developed tools (Animal Model Quality Assessment, Animal Model Strategy Team, After Action Review) to embed the future use of in vivo data. Provided trends, analysis and statistics regarding animal use at or for GSK.
