My main role is the day to day management four supervisors in four counties who in turn manage 4 operatives in each of the regions. This involves attending team meetings carrying out 1 to 1s and handling any complaints or disciplinary matters that may occur, my role also requires me to monitor the regional project boards to maintain the budgetary spend month by month and to forecast and populate the new project boards on an annual basis to achieve maximum spend over the year and to allow the company to budget for the monthly spend.My duties also require me to visit sites across the four regions to carry out surveys of highlighted areas for resurfacing, fencing or any maintenance work which the DLO operatives would not carry out. This would involve creating a schedule of works to put out to tender so as to get competitive quotes and achieve best value. I also have to carry out condition surveys of the hard standings, footpaths and drainage to the estates belonging to Aster housing association, to put together major refurbishment schemes and tended these when funds allow dealing with CDM regulations when notifiable or not. My duties also involve the motivation of my team arranging and chairing team meeting and updating spreadsheets to monitor performance etc. I have also introduced a new stores monitoring system.
