State Farm Insurance, Bloomington, IL – Technical Architect (January 2017 – March 2023)- Provided Technical Architecture leadership to multiple, diverse product teams within the Bloomington Web PaaS (BWP) product suite.- Developed and maintained tactical and strategic blueprints and roadmaps for all BWP products.- Drove the Integration strategy execution for WebSphere based integration technologies.- Created cloud migration strategies for State Farm’s Oracle, DB2, SQL databases solutions.- Created cloud migration strategies for State Farm’s web hosting server environments.- Established the Technical Architecture direction for a newly formed Confluent Kafka solution.- Created AWS technical solution design for dormant database long term archival for the SQL, Oracle and DB2 database products.- Drove thought leadership and established technical direction for the Low Code solution space.- Drove product and architecture decisions around the End Used Computing (EUC) solution space.- Created the technical strategy for static content tenancy in the AWS for web hosting solutions.- Consulted with business and technology teams to identify key business drivers and optimal technical solutions.- Provide consulting and leadership for business and all BWP product teams.- Drove the strategic shift from product ownership to capability stewardship within the BWP suite.

Caterpillar Inc., Peoria, Illinois (June 1998 to December 2016) - Integration Architecture Component Owner within Enterprise Architecture / Transportation Integration Technical Architect- Developed the Enterprise Integration Strategy for nine disparate Caterpillar IT architecture teams.- Promoted EAI Integration Strategy to be a Caterpillar IT Architecture (CITA) standard.- Executed the integration strategy evangelist role for the Enterprise Integration Architecture.- Mentored the global Caterpillar community on the principles of the integration strategy and product capabilities for long term solution alignment. - Drove the Enterprise EAI vendor evaluation and selection involving six Caterpillar business units.- Provided technical solutions to key application areas to meet their business needs while also aligning to the overall integration strategy.- Formed the foundation of the Integration Competency Center within Enterprise Architecture.- Developed the value case for integration strategy and promoted enterprise integration alignment.- Communicated integration strategy to senior management and enterprise technical teams.- Provided internal consulting to major enterprise initiatives requiring integration solutions.- Determined and designed technical solutions for Caterpillar Logistics transportation teams.- Created, developed, and managed development teams in the US and Bangalore, India consisting of external consultants and Caterpillar employees including the overall budget, infrastructure, and development.

I was hired during my internship from Illinois State University during my final semester. I supported Windows and Mainframe new business quoting systems for the Agency force. I streamlined these systems and automated the rate change process from 4 months to 1 week and improved the overall efficiency and calculations so both platforms produced the same results. I also led the effort to convert some of the unique Mainframe application to run on Windows.
