With 25 years of experience in a wide range of television, John is the former Chief Creative Officer of Force Four Entertainment. He began his television career writing, directing and producing broadcast documentaries, before becoming an Executive Producer. With his business partners Rob Bromley and Gillian Lowrey, John purchased Force Four Entertainment in 2007 and seven years later the company was acquired by Canada's largest entertainment company, Entertainment One. John’s production credits include co-creating a broad range of unscripted television series and exec producing the Canadian versions of numerous format productions, including Border Security, Keeping Canada Alive, First Dates, Village on a Diet and The Bachelor Canada. In the scripted genre, he has produced and executive produced two series and five television movies, including the 26-episode sitcom series Seed. His work has won numerous awards, including the coveted Peabody Award.John has a Bachelor of Education from U.B.C. and a Media Diploma from Capilano University. He is on the BCIT Broadcast Television Program Advisory Board and is a member of the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television and the Canadian Media Producers Association.
