Leading Hand - All Rounder - TAE- RTO Accredited Trainer / Assessor, WHS Representative at Macmahon Mining.Lead the cross shift hand over with other supervisors and mine manager in line with the 36hr mine plan;Deliver the shift pre-start meetings to mining crews, dewatering, contractors, and other attendees, allocate equipment, jobs and tasks for the shift;Undertake workplace inspections of the mines (5 in total), ROM, waste dumps, stockpiles, roads & ramps, pit floor, mining areas, walls, batters & berms, drill patterns, designated blast patterns.Inspect ore mark ups / tape, and known void areas, review and provide additional safety instructions based on the inspection findings.Attend and participate in the daily 24hr & 36hr mine meetings.Optimise the daily load & haul activities, arrange duel fleet operation and hot seating where possible, monitor spot times, truck prod times and hang times, truck factors and hourly BCM rates.Issue additional daily jobs and tasks to the mining team that require immediate attention for the operation, cutting batters to profile, Establishing temporary & design ramps, after blast clean ups.Conduct in pit inspections and planning with survey and geology department & monitor current floor RL’s, inspect all Laser & GPS units.Implementation of corrective measures for unexpected events such as, wall failures, inclement weather, site emergencies.Organise and arrange equipment for regular servicing as per the maintenance schedule,Conduct safety interactions (PTO’s & SAO’s) with all mining personal, and provide training and support to employees where required.Collect, collate and complete all end of shift documentation including Supervisors Handover Reports, (pre-starts, Mac 5’s, timesheets, mine inspection reports, Load Sheets, Computer Mining Reports etc).Deliver the shift pre-start meetings to mining crews, dewatering, contractors, and other attendees,Issue additional daily jobs and tasks to the mining team that require immediate attention for the operation, cutting batters to profile, Establishing temporary & design ramps, after blast clean ups.Conduct in pit inspections and planning with survey and geology department & monitor current floor RL’s, inspect all Laser & GPS units.
