I am the Government Programs Manager for A&M Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In this position, I am the liaison with federal, tribal, state and local governments. I have served in previous positions in A&M as the Interim President and as a Senior Advisor.I retired in January 2016 from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). I served the first half of my USACE career as a geotechnical engineer in Little Rock and Tulsa Districts and the second half of my career as the senior civilian and Deputy District Engineer for Programs and Project Management in Tulsa District. I led a $500,000,000 a year program for civil works, military construction, environmental restoration, and support for other Federal agencies and Tribes.I have 45 years of experience in engineering and project management; creating strong relationships resulting in exceptional customer care. My specialized experience is in geotechnical engineering, water resource development, environmental restoration, and military construction, managing some of the most unique and complex projects in the United States and abroad, including being the project manager for the Corps’ Restore Iraqi Oil project in 2003. After active duty military service in the Air Force, I obtained Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Arkansas, with geotechnical emphasis. I also attended graduate school at the University of California, Berkeley, completing their Advanced Course in Soil Mechanics. I’m a registered Professional Engineer in Oklahoma and active in the Tulsa Post of the Society of American Military Engineers. I have the honor of having been selected to the Arkansas Academy of Civil Engineers and being a past member of the Oklahoma State University, Board of Advisors for the Civil Engineering School.
