Supervise and oversee overall activities implemented by Program Officers and other Staff for Pwani region.A member of the technical staff and extended leadership group for THPS.To provide THPS leadership supporting the Pwani regional health management team (RHMT) and district health management teams (CHMTs) in the implementation of HIV prevention, care, treatment, and support in the region.To ensure that the THPS Pwani team meets program targets and timely provides weekly, monthly and quarterly targets.Participate in THPS strategic planning sessions including planning with sub-grantees in the region, development of Country Operational Plan (COP) activities, and other planning-related activities as will be deemed necessary.

As PMTCT EID Technical Advisor, I was responsible to provide technical support and oversee the implementation of elimination of mother-to-child transmission (eMTCT) and ensure Afya Hatua program achieves its goals in supported regions. Specifically, I was responsible for the design, planning and coordination of PMTCT activities including early infant diagnosis (EID).As pediatric and adolescent’s technical advisor, I was overseeing the implementation of pediatric HIV activities to ensure Afya Hatua program is reaching its program target including pediatric HIV testing and identification, linkage to treatment, retention, and ensuring pediatrics are virally suppressed.As part of the maternal component, I was providing support for CECAP services implementation and ensuring the program achieves its goals in supported regions and supported facilities. Specifically, I was responsible for the design, planning, and coordination of CECAP activities including screening of women attending CTC services for cervical cancer, and ensuring all screened positive for cervical cancers are receiving the right treatment.I was leading the CECAP/PMTCT/Pediatric program and field officers in ensuring national guidelines, standards, and protocols are followed across supported health facilities.

USAID Boresha Afya Southern Zone Iringa region which was five years project under USAID through consortium of four implementing partners namely Deloitte, Management and development for Health (MDH), Engender health and FHI360.My roles were based on regional program management and technical leadership provision, provision of regional coordination, regional timely narrative report writing, capacity building to the team and regional program implementation monitoring.

Implemented USAID Boresha Afya Southern Zone Program, My roles were to; To ensuring that the program supported sites meet national standard for PMTCT/EID, pediatric HIV care and maternal health improvement initiatives through implementation of different planned activities.Ensuring that the program supported sites implement integrated and comprehensive package of PMTCT/EID, and pediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment services at all levels through various activities.Conducting various trainings related to maternal and child health improving initiatives including PMTCT, EID, and pediatric care and treatmentCollaborating with R/CHMTs to identify training needs for sites, districts, and regional personnel and organize trainings for site level staff using currently recommended national curriculumsCollaborating with regional and district CHMT to develop a mentorship program for site staff work in CTC, RCHs clinics and OPD/IPD departments.Working with R/CHMT to ensure that program supported sites implement integrated and comprehensive package of PMTCT/EID and Ped HIV care services at all levels.Participation in supportive supervision with regional and district team.Participate in capacity building and implementation of the national guidelines and tools for PMTCT/EID and Ped HIV careBe responsible with the achievements program targets for PMTCT/EID and Ped HIV care Strengthen systems for M&E of PMTCT/EID and Ped HIV care paper tool and/or software) are available and properly used at all ‘USAID - Boresha Afya’ supported sites.Collaborating closely with M&E and Data Management departments in assuring quality data and reporting and using M&E for effective program management.Preparing timely quarterly, semiannually, and annually narrative reports of the respective program areas.

As a program officer clinical services I have the following roles and responsibility to reach my foundation goals.1. Co-ordination of district support to provide Integrated HIV/AIDS Services e.g. technical input in district building capacity and coordination of relevant training for healthcare workers in collaboration with other stakeholders.2. Conduct supportive supervision in close collaboration with district teams3. In collaboration with district supervisor and mentors, assist districts in data collection, compilation, analysis and reporting to government structures and EGPAFCoach sub-grantees in proposal writing i.e. prioritizing activities, development of work plans and budgeting Work with districts in enhancing collaboration amongst HIVIAIDS implementing partnersAssist districts in setting up mechanisms to strengthen HIV/AIDS continuum of care and client retention4. To monitor districts to utilize the obligated fund in the given program according the agreement in the proposals Monitor districts and other sub grantees to implement program year activities according to their work plan.5. Prepare follow up action plans of support provided and monitor its implementation6. Write trip reports and submit to the Regional Program Coordinator as required in a proper and timely manner7. Assist districts and their respective sites in analyzing data of all program components (RCH/PMTCT, EID, C&T, TB collaborative activities, community services and SCM to achieve planned targets8. Assist district to monitor flow of HIV commodities to avoid overstock and stock outs9. In collaboration with Grants Officers (GOs), ensure timely financial cash requesting and provision of funds to subs as well as making fOllow up of program progress VS financial use.10.
