Recruited to fill a newly created position and collaborate closely with McKinsey Consulting to establish a Project Management Office at US. Steel Gary Works that focused on project execution and effectiveness for CapEx and maintenance infrastructure projects.Built off the successes of the Project Delivery System for the development and execution of Capital projects, incorporating those same processes and principles into the Cost Projects to improve cost effectiveness, achieve stated benefits and project schedules. Educated and trained Operations and Maintenance Leaders to better plan/prioritize needs and achieve Key Performance Indices (KPIs) resulting from these expenditures, advancing project prioritization and Manager accountability.

Managed the Engineering Department for United States Steel for their flagship plant Gary Works as well as the Midwest and ECT Plants. I was responsible for development and execution of a portflio of strategic and cost reduction projects for the last several years. Prior to becoming Engineering Manager, I was a Project Manager responsible for developing and executing several projects for USS, especially focussed on the Finishing Facilities such as Hot Mill, Pickle Lines, Cold Mills, Galvanize Lines, and Tin Facilities.
