Responsible for the governance, policies, projects and security of the Americas Region all 55+ locations in South and North America. Total sales of one billion US$ per year and total IT resources of 85 FTEs in distributed locations, The NY office houses the core Regional IT group. Served on the International Technology, Project and Standards Boards. Significant focus on new and legacy CRM/Marketing systems and project teams.

Responsible for the IT strategies and management of central Information Systems. Brought in to modernize the IT portfolio and support. IT services include applications hosting, email, WAN, Intra / Internet systems and strategic project support. Major applications Included: JD Edwards, Lawson, Synygy, Xactly, Hyperion, Oracle CRM, Notes / Domino and other mission critical client server solutions. Major pain points revolving around CRM and associated systems. Staff is comprised of 18 Corporate and 8 Divisional employees. Accomplishments included:Cost effective CRM implementation for Sales and Service providing significant improvements.Extended existing systems using browser-based technology. These support Information flow to Zeiss' distributor networks and end customers.Worked with Divisional Management to identify, select and implement portal based sales commissions, E-Learning systems, and numerous business process changes to optimize performance.Realigned and formalized IT budgets to redistribute service charges to Zeiss Divisions.Renegotiated all voice and data contracts which resulted in savings of over $500K per year.Coordinated the SAP implementation plan at all US and Canadian Divisions including the vendor negotiation, change management, coordination with Sr. Management, development of capital and operating budgets.

Managed various responsibilities from International systems group to Engineering development. Ultimately responsible for managing USSC's major domestic and global IT projects. The position was created at the height of software expansion to improve project delivery and communication. Coordinated project teams responsible for development, planning, technical infrastructures and third party software solutions which included SAP, i2, Trilogy, Mercator, Vantive CRM.

Relocated to Europe to manage all information systems (software, computers and communications) for USSC's German manufacturing site and European headquarters and distribution facilities in Versailles, France. Jestetten, Germany: Implemented and managed financial, engineering and manufacturing software systems for this subsidiary. The products manufactured required a discrete (work order controlled) and flexible high-speed (JIT) assembly process. Versailles, France: Brought in to troubleshoot and manage a customized, highly automated distribution system. Coordinated IT vendors, local IT and Sr. Management to eliminate issues within three months.
