Performed Configuration Management duties that involved the discovery of all software and hardware Configuration Item’s (CI’s) for Production, Test, and Development servers throughout TIAA-Cref’s financial organization. This CI data was then used to populate the corporate CMDB for use with Service Now’s incident, problem, and change system, for software & hardware system monitoring (TEC), and for TIAA-Cref’s asset management inventory control system (ITAMIT). Established processes and procedures for discovering changes to existing & new business systems that included gathering information from base level discoveries and analysis with system teams to build out business application relationships and topologies. Wrote UNIX shell scripts for process automation and performed database queries for generating change reports.
